We recommend looking up Lothian Buses for further information on public transport around the city. You can download the Lothian Bus app here!
What you will be doing
You’ll make your way round 10 different rugby skills and fitness stations throughout the day; every station will have adaptations for differing abilities and for Touch players. Coaching groups will be formed by mixing up players from all clubs into coaching groups, and there will be a morning break.
We’ll keep you warm and well fed throughout the day: our on-site cafe will have morning rolls and hot drinks available to purchase, and lunch will be provided for you in the park (this is included in your ticket). Specific dietary requirements will be met only for the players who have officially requested ahead of time. Please send end any relevant details of dietary requirements/allergies to our Clinic Director, Luke Fenton at clinic.director@thebans-rfc.co.uk
Thebans will be on hand throughout the day if you want some tips on things to see or places to go once the day is done, and our information stand will be open all day to answer any questions you might have.
Finally, we’ll finish the training side of the day with a big cool down - getting your ready for a cold drink and a bit of drag in the marquee!
Friday Players’ Social and Drag Show
Following the training you’re all invited into the Players’ Village marquee for our social and drag show where you can enjoy a well-earned drink in the Drunken Hooker bar and amazing entertainment from local drag artist Geezah Gobble. After this you can stay to eat, drink, and be merry before heading back to your accommodation to freshen up for whatever you have planned that evening.
We recommend making your way to Planet Bar and Kitchen to continue your night. If you would like recommendations on where to spend your Friday night don’t hesitate to ask a Theban.
