The Caledonian Thebans are Scotland's foremost gay & inclusive rugby team. Since formation in 2002 we have been pushing boundaries on and off the pitch to provide a welcoming environment for all men who want to play rugby.

We compete at all levels; from our local league through to international tournaments, and host an annual Rugby Clinic for members across the international rugby community.

The Caledonian Thebans are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment into which players of all levels of experience feel comfortable. Our goal is for everyone to enjoy rugby in a prejudice free environment, and we are proud of our supportive, diverse and social team.

Regional Leagues to International Tournaments

The Caledonian Thebans are proud members of the International Gay Rugby Association, IGR, which has so far taken us all over the world, including Dublin, Sydney, Nashville, Amsterdam and will take us to Ottawa in 2020.
In 2016 we won the Hoagland Cup in Nashville, Tennessee.

In addition to this we compete in the East Region Development League, across central Scotland. These regional matches offer invaluable experience for our growth as a team and we continue to aim for promotion.

We also take part in the annual Claymore Cup. A fight to the end between ourselves and the other Inclusive Scottish rugby teams.
